    خَافِضَةٌۭرَّافِعَةٌ٣

    Khafidatur raafi'ah

It will bring down [some] and raise up [others].

  4. 56:4

    إِذَارُجَّتِٱلْأَرْضُرَجًّۭا٤

    Izaa rujjatil ardu rajjaa

When the earth is shaken with convulsion

  5. 56:5

    وَبُسَّتِٱلْجِبَالُبَسًّۭا٥

    Wa bussatil jibaalu bassaa

And the mountains are broken down, crumbling

  6. 56:6

    فَكَانَتْهَبَآءًۭمُّنۢبَثًّۭا٦

    Fakaanat habaaa'am mumbassaa

    And become dust dispersing.

  7. 56:7

    وَكُنتُمْأَزْوَٰجًۭاثَلَـٰثَةًۭ٧

    Wa kuntum azwaajan salaasah

And you become [of] three kinds:

  8. 56:8

    فَأَصْحَـٰبُٱلْمَيْمَنَةِمَآأَصْحَـٰبُٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ٨

Fa as haabul maimanati maaa as haabul maimanah

Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right?

  9. 56:9

    وَأَصْحَـٰبُٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِمَآأَصْحَـٰبُٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ٩

Wa as haabul mash'amati maaa as haabul mash'amah

And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left?

  10. 56:10

    وَٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ١٠

    Wassaabiqoonas saabiqoon

And the forerunners, the forerunners -

  11. 56:11

    أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ١١

    Ulaaa'ikal muqarraboon

Those are the ones brought near [to Allah]

  12. 56:12

    فِىجَنَّـٰتِٱلنَّعِيمِ١٢

    Neither cool nor beneficial.

  45. 56:45

    إِنَّهُمْكَانُوا۟قَبْلَذَٰلِكَمُتْرَفِينَ٤٥

    Innaahum kaanoo qabla zaalika mutrafeen

  46. 56:46

    وَكَانُوا۟يُصِرُّونَعَلَىٱلْحِنثِٱلْعَظِيمِ٤٦

Wa kaanoo yusirroona 'alal hinsil 'azeem

And they used to persist in the great violation,

  47. 56:47

    وَكَانُوا۟يَقُولُونَأَئِذَامِتْنَاوَكُنَّاتُرَابًۭاوَعِظَـٰمًاأَءِنَّالَمَبْعُوثُونَ٤٧

Wa kaanoo yaqooloona a'izaa mitnaa wa kunnaa turaabanw wa izaaman'ainnaa lamab'oosoon

  48. 56:48

    أَوَءَابَآؤُنَاٱلْأَوَّلُونَ٤٨

    Awa aabaaa'unal awwaloon

    لَـَٔاكِلُونَمِنشَجَرٍۢمِّنزَقُّومٍۢ٥٢

La aakiloona min shaja rim min zaqqoom

    فَشَـٰرِبُونَشُرْبَٱلْهِيمِ٥٥

    Fashaariboona shurbal heem

And will drink as the drinking of thirsty camels.

  56. 56:56

    هَـٰذَانُزُلُهُمْيَوْمَٱلدِّينِ٥٦

    Haazaa nuzuluhum yawmad deen

    Rather, we have been deprived."

  88. 56:88

    فَأَمَّآإِنكَانَمِنَٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ٨٨

Fa ammaaa in kaana minal muqarrabeen

    فَسَلَـٰمٌۭلَّكَمِنْأَصْحَـٰبِٱلْيَمِينِ٩١

Fasalaamul laka min as haabil yameen

Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right."

  92. 56:92

    وَأَمَّآإِنكَانَمِنَٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَٱلضَّآلِّينَ٩٢

Wa ammaaa in kaana minal mukazzibeenad daaalleen

But if he was of the deniers [who were] astray,

  93. 56:93

    فَنُزُلٌۭمِّنْحَمِيمٍۢ٩٣

    Fanuzulum min hameem

Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water
