سُورَةُ النَّبَإِ

78. An-Naba

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. عَمَّ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ78:1

    'Amma Yatasaa-aloon

    About what are they asking one another?

  2. عَنِ ٱلنَّبَإِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ78:2

    'Anin-nabaa-il 'azeem

    About the great news -

  3. ٱلَّذِى هُمْ فِيهِ مُخْتَلِفُونَ78:3

    Allazi hum feehi mukh talifoon

    That over which they are in disagreement.

  4. كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ78:4

    Kallaa sa y'alamoon

    No! They are going to know.

  5. ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ78:5

    Thumma kallaa sa y'alamoon

    Then, no! They are going to know.

  6. أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ مِهَـٰدًۭا78:6

    Alam naj'alil arda mihaa da

    Have We not made the earth a resting place?

  7. وَٱلْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًۭا78:7

    Wal jibaala au taada

    And the mountains as stakes?

  8. وَخَلَقْنَـٰكُمْ أَزْوَٰجًۭا78:8

    Wa khalaq naakum azwaaja

    And We created you in pairs

  9. وَجَعَلْنَا نَوْمَكُمْ سُبَاتًۭا78:9

    Waja'alnan naumakum subata

    And made your sleep [a means for] rest

  10. وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلَّيْلَ لِبَاسًۭا78:10

    Waja'alnal laila libasa

    And made the night as clothing

  11. وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلنَّهَارَ مَعَاشًۭا78:11

    Waja'alnan nahara ma 'aasha

    And made the day for livelihood

  12. وَبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًۭا شِدَادًۭا78:12

    Wa banaina fauqakum sab 'an shi daada

    And constructed above you seven strong [heavens]

  13. وَجَعَلْنَا سِرَاجًۭا وَهَّاجًۭا78:13

    Waja'alna siraajaw wah haaja

    And made [therein] a burning lamp

  14. وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلْمُعْصِرَٰتِ مَآءًۭ ثَجَّاجًۭا78:14

    Wa anzalna minal m'usiraati maa-an saj-jaaja

    And sent down, from the rain clouds, pouring water

  15. لِّنُخْرِجَ بِهِۦ حَبًّۭا وَنَبَاتًۭا78:15

    Linukh rija bihee habbaw wana baata

    That We may bring forth thereby grain and vegetation

  16. وَجَنَّـٰتٍ أَلْفَافًا78:16

    Wa jan naatin alfafa

    And gardens of entwined growth.

  17. إِنَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْفَصْلِ كَانَ مِيقَـٰتًۭا78:17

    Inna yaumal-fasli kana miqaata

    Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time -

  18. يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَتَأْتُونَ أَفْوَاجًۭا78:18

    Yauma yun fakhu fis-soori fataa toona afwaaja

    The Day the Horn is blown and you will come forth in multitudes

  19. وَفُتِحَتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ أَبْوَٰبًۭا78:19

    Wa futiha tis samaa-u fakaanat abwaaba

    And the heaven is opened and will become gateways

  20. وَسُيِّرَتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ فَكَانَتْ سَرَابًا78:20

    Wa suyyi raatil jibaalu fa kaanat saraaba

    And the mountains are removed and will be [but] a mirage.

  21. إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتْ مِرْصَادًۭا78:21

    Inna jahan nama kaanat mirsaada

    Indeed, Hell has been lying in wait

  22. لِّلطَّـٰغِينَ مَـَٔابًۭا78:22

    Lit taa gheena ma aaba

    For the transgressors, a place of return,

  23. لَّـٰبِثِينَ فِيهَآ أَحْقَابًۭا78:23

    Laa bitheena feehaa ahqaaba

    In which they will remain for ages [unending].

  24. لَّا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرْدًۭا وَلَا شَرَابًا78:24

    Laa ya zooqoona feeha bar daw walaa sharaaba

    They will not taste therein [any] coolness or drink

  25. إِلَّا حَمِيمًۭا وَغَسَّاقًۭا78:25

    Illa hamee maw-wa ghas saaqa

    Except scalding water and [foul] purulence -

  26. جَزَآءًۭ وِفَاقًا78:26

    Jazaa-aw wi faaqa

    An appropriate recompense.

  27. إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَرْجُونَ حِسَابًۭا78:27

    Innahum kaanu laa yarjoona hisaaba

    Indeed, they were not expecting an account

  28. وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا كِذَّابًۭا78:28

    Wa kazzabu bi aayaa tina kizzaba

    And denied Our verses with [emphatic] denial.

  29. وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَـٰهُ كِتَـٰبًۭا78:29

    Wa kulla shai-in ahsai naahu kitaa ba

    But all things We have enumerated in writing.

  30. فَذُوقُوا۟ فَلَن نَّزِيدَكُمْ إِلَّا عَذَابًا78:30

    Fa zooqoo falan-nazee dakum ill-laa azaaba

    "So taste [the penalty], and never will We increase you except in torment."

  31. إِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ مَفَازًا78:31

    Inna lil mutta qeena mafaaza

    Indeed, for the righteous is attainment -

  32. حَدَآئِقَ وَأَعْنَـٰبًۭا78:32

    Hadaa-iqa wa a'anaa ba

    Gardens and grapevines

  33. وَكَوَاعِبَ أَتْرَابًۭا78:33

    Wa kaawa 'iba at raaba

    And full-breasted [companions] of equal age

  34. وَكَأْسًۭا دِهَاقًۭا78:34

    Wa ka'san di haaqa

    And a full cup.

  35. لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًۭا وَلَا كِذَّٰبًۭا78:35

    Laa yasma'oona fiha lagh waw walaa kizzaba

    No ill speech will they hear therein or any falsehood -

  36. جَزَآءًۭ مِّن رَّبِّكَ عَطَآءً حِسَابًۭا78:36

    Jazaa-am mir-rabbika ataa-an hisaaba

    [As] reward from your Lord, [a generous] gift [made due by] account,

  37. رَّبِّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ۖ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِنْهُ خِطَابًۭا78:37

    Rabbis samaa waati wal ardi wa maa baina humar rahmaani laa yam likoona minhu khi taaba

    [From] the Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Most Merciful. They possess not from Him [authority for] speech.

  38. يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلرُّوحُ وَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ صَفًّۭا ۖ لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُونَ إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابًۭا78:38

    Yauma yaqoo mur roohu wal malaa-ikatu saf-fal laa yata kalla moona illa man azina lahur rahmaanu wa qaala sawaaba

    The Day that the Spirit and the angels will stand in rows, they will not speak except for one whom the Most Merciful permits, and he will say what is correct.

  39. ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۖ فَمَن شَآءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ مَـَٔابًا78:39

    Zaalikal yaumul haqqu faman shaa-at ta khaaza ill-laa rabbihi ma-aaba

    That is the True Day; so he who wills may take to his Lord a [way of] return.

  40. إِنَّآ أَنذَرْنَـٰكُمْ عَذَابًۭا قَرِيبًۭا يَوْمَ يَنظُرُ ٱلْمَرْءُ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاهُ وَيَقُولُ ٱلْكَافِرُ يَـٰلَيْتَنِى كُنتُ تُرَٰبًۢا78:40

    In naa anzar naakum azaaban qareebaiy-yauma yan zurul marr-u maa qaddamat yadaahu wa ya qoolul-kaafiru yaa lai tanee kuntu turaaba

    Indeed, We have warned you of a near punishment on the Day when a man will observe what his hands have put forth and the disbeliever will say, "Oh, I wish that I were dust!"

سُورَةُ النَّازِعَاتِ

79. An-Nazi'at

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. وَٱلنَّـٰزِعَـٰتِ غَرْقًۭا79:1

    Wan naazi 'aati gharqa

    By those [angels] who extract with violence

  2. وَٱلنَّـٰشِطَـٰتِ نَشْطًۭا79:2

    Wan naa shi taati nashta

    And [by] those who remove with ease

  3. وَٱلسَّـٰبِحَـٰتِ سَبْحًۭا79:3

    Wass saabi-haati sabha

    And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming

  4. فَٱلسَّـٰبِقَـٰتِ سَبْقًۭا79:4

    Fass saabi qaati sabqa

    And those who race each other in a race

  5. فَٱلْمُدَبِّرَٰتِ أَمْرًۭا79:5

    Fal mu dab-bi raati amra

    And those who arrange [each] matter,

  6. يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ ٱلرَّاجِفَةُ79:6

    Yawma tarjufur raajifa

    On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation],

  7. تَتْبَعُهَا ٱلرَّادِفَةُ79:7

    Tatba'u har raadifa

    There will follow it the subsequent [one].

  8. قُلُوبٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ وَاجِفَةٌ79:8

    Quloobuny-yau maaiziw-waaji-fa

    Hearts, that Day, will tremble,

  9. أَبْصَـٰرُهَا خَـٰشِعَةٌۭ79:9

    Absaa ruhaa khashi'ah

    Their eyes humbled.

  10. يَقُولُونَ أَءِنَّا لَمَرْدُودُونَ فِى ٱلْحَافِرَةِ79:10

    Ya qoo loona a-inna lamar doo doona fil haafirah

    They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]?

  11. أَءِذَا كُنَّا عِظَـٰمًۭا نَّخِرَةًۭ79:11

    Aizaa kunna 'izaa man-nakhirah

    Even if we should be decayed bones?

  12. قَالُوا۟ تِلْكَ إِذًۭا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٌۭ79:12

    Qaalu tilka izan karratun khaasirah.

    They say, "That, then, would be a losing return."

  13. فَإِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌۭ وَٰحِدَةٌۭ79:13

    Fa inna ma hiya zajratuw-waahida

    Indeed, it will be but one shout,

  14. فَإِذَا هُم بِٱلسَّاهِرَةِ79:14

    Faizaa hum biss saahirah

    And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface.

  15. هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰٓ79:15

    Hal ataaka hadeethu Musaa

    Has there reached you the story of Moses? -

  16. إِذْ نَادَىٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ بِٱلْوَادِ ٱلْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى79:16

    Iz nadaahu rabbuhu bil waadil-muqad dasi tuwa

    When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa,

  17. ٱذْهَبْ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ79:17

    Izhab ilaa fir'auna innahu taghaa.

    "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed.

  18. فَقُلْ هَل لَّكَ إِلَىٰٓ أَن تَزَكَّىٰ79:18

    Faqul hal laka ilaa-an tazakka.

    And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself

  19. وَأَهْدِيَكَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشَىٰ79:19

    Wa ahdi yaka ila rabbika fatakh sha

    And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'"

  20. فَأَرَىٰهُ ٱلْـَٔايَةَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ79:20

    Fa araahul-aayatal kubra.

    And he showed him the greatest sign,

  21. فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَىٰ79:21

    Fa kazzaba wa asaa.

    But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed.

  22. ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ يَسْعَىٰ79:22

    Thumma adbara yas'aa.

    Then he turned his back, striving.

  23. فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَىٰ79:23

    Fa hashara fanada.

    And he gathered [his people] and called out

  24. فَقَالَ أَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمُ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ79:24

    Faqala ana rabbu kumul-a'laa.

    And said, "I am your most exalted lord."

  25. فَأَخَذَهُ ٱللَّهُ نَكَالَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَٱلْأُولَىٰٓ79:25

    Fa-akha zahul laahu nakalal aakhirati wal-oola.

    So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression].

  26. إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةًۭ لِّمَن يَخْشَىٰٓ79:26

    Inna fee zaalika la'ibratal limaiy-yaksha

    Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah].

  27. ءَأَنتُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَمِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ ۚ بَنَىٰهَا79:27

    A-antum a shaddu khalqan amis samaa-u banaaha.

    Are you a more difficult creation or is the heaven? Allah constructed it.

  28. رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا فَسَوَّىٰهَا79:28

    Raf'a sam kaha fasaw waaha

    He raised its ceiling and proportioned it.

  29. وَأَغْطَشَ لَيْلَهَا وَأَخْرَجَ ضُحَىٰهَا79:29

    Wa aghtasha lailaha wa akhraja duhaaha.

    And He darkened its night and extracted its brightness.

  30. وَٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ دَحَىٰهَآ79:30

    Wal arda b'ada zaalika dahaaha.

    And after that He spread the earth.

  31. أَخْرَجَ مِنْهَا مَآءَهَا وَمَرْعَىٰهَا79:31

    Akhraja minha maa-aha wa mar 'aaha.

    He extracted from it its water and its pasture,

  32. وَٱلْجِبَالَ أَرْسَىٰهَا79:32

    Wal jibala arsaaha.

    And the mountains He set firmly

  33. مَتَـٰعًۭا لَّكُمْ وَلِأَنْعَـٰمِكُمْ79:33

    Mataa'al lakum wali an 'aamikum.

    As provision for you and your grazing livestock.

  34. فَإِذَا جَآءَتِ ٱلطَّآمَّةُ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ79:34

    Fa-izaa jaaa'atit taaam matul kubraa.

    But when there comes the greatest Overwhelming Calamity -

  35. يَوْمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مَا سَعَىٰ79:35

    Yauma Yata zakkarul insaanu ma sa'aa.

    The Day when man will remember that for which he strove,

  36. وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلْجَحِيمُ لِمَن يَرَىٰ79:36

    Wa burrizatil-jaheemu limany-yaraa.

    And Hellfire will be exposed for [all] those who see -

  37. فَأَمَّا مَن طَغَىٰ79:37

    Fa ammaa man taghaa.

    So as for he who transgressed

  38. وَءَاثَرَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا79:38

    Wa aasaral hayaatad dunyaa

    And preferred the life of the world,

  39. فَإِنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ هِىَ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ79:39

    Fa innal jaheema hiyal maawaa.

    Then indeed, Hellfire will be [his] refuge.

  40. وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ وَنَهَى ٱلنَّفْسَ عَنِ ٱلْهَوَىٰ79:40

    Wa ammaa man khaafa maqaama Rabbihee wa nahan nafsa 'anil hawaa

    But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination,

  41. فَإِنَّ ٱلْجَنَّةَ هِىَ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ79:41

    Fa innal jannata hiyal maawaa

    Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge.

  42. يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلسَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَىٰهَا79:42

    Yas'aloonaka 'anis saa'ati ayyaana mursaahaa

    They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival?

  43. فِيمَ أَنتَ مِن ذِكْرَىٰهَآ79:43

    Feema anta min zikraahaa

    In what [position] are you that you should mention it?

  44. إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ مُنتَهَىٰهَآ79:44

    Ilaa Rabbika muntahaa haa

    To your Lord is its finality.

  45. إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰهَا79:45

    Innamaaa anta munziru maiy yakshaahaa

    You are only a warner for those who fear it.

  46. كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوٓا۟ إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوْ ضُحَىٰهَا79:46

    Ka annahum Yawma yarawnahaa lam yalbasooo illaa 'ashiyyatan aw duhaahaa

    It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof.

سُورَةُ عَبَسَ

80. 'Abasa

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. عَبَسَ وَتَوَلَّىٰٓ80:1

    'Abasa wa tawallaa.

    The Prophet frowned and turned away

  2. أَن جَآءَهُ ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ80:2

    An jaa-ahul 'a-maa

    Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting].

  3. وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّهُۥ يَزَّكَّىٰٓ80:3

    Wa maa yudreeka la'allahu yaz zakkaa.

    But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified

  4. أَوْ يَذَّكَّرُ فَتَنفَعَهُ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰٓ80:4

    Au yaz zak karu fatanfa 'ahuz zikraa.

    Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him?

  5. أَمَّا مَنِ ٱسْتَغْنَىٰ80:5

    Amma manis taghnaa

    As for he who thinks himself without need,

  6. فَأَنتَ لَهُۥ تَصَدَّىٰ80:6

    Fa-anta lahu tasaddaa

    To him you give attention.

  7. وَمَا عَلَيْكَ أَلَّا يَزَّكَّىٰ80:7

    Wa ma 'alaika allaa yaz zakka.

    And not upon you [is any blame] if he will not be purified.

  8. وَأَمَّا مَن جَآءَكَ يَسْعَىٰ80:8

    Wa amma man jaa-aka yas'a

    But as for he who came to you striving [for knowledge]

  9. وَهُوَ يَخْشَىٰ80:9

    Wahuwa yakhshaa,

    While he fears [Allah],

  10. فَأَنتَ عَنْهُ تَلَهَّىٰ80:10

    Fa-anta 'anhu talah haa.

    From him you are distracted.

  11. كَلَّآ إِنَّهَا تَذْكِرَةٌۭ80:11

    Kalla innaha tazkirah

    No! Indeed, these verses are a reminder;

  12. فَمَن شَآءَ ذَكَرَهُۥ80:12

    Faman shaa a zakarah

    So whoever wills may remember it.

  13. فِى صُحُفٍۢ مُّكَرَّمَةٍۢ80:13

    Fi suhufim mukar rama,

    [It is recorded] in honored sheets,

  14. مَّرْفُوعَةٍۢ مُّطَهَّرَةٍۭ80:14

    Marfoo'atim mutah hara,

    Exalted and purified,

  15. بِأَيْدِى سَفَرَةٍۢ80:15

    Bi'aidee safara

    [Carried] by the hands of messenger-angels,

  16. كِرَامٍۭ بَرَرَةٍۢ80:16

    Kiraamim bararah.

    Noble and dutiful.

  17. قُتِلَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مَآ أَكْفَرَهُۥ80:17

    Qutilal-insanu maa akfarah.

    Cursed is man; how disbelieving is he.

  18. مِنْ أَىِّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقَهُۥ80:18

    Min aiyyi shai-in Khalaq

    From what substance did He create him?

  19. مِن نُّطْفَةٍ خَلَقَهُۥ فَقَدَّرَهُۥ80:19

    Min nutfah; khalaqahu faqad-darah.

    From a sperm-drop He created him and destined for him;

  20. ثُمَّ ٱلسَّبِيلَ يَسَّرَهُۥ80:20

    Thummas sabeela yas-sarah

    Then He eased the way for him;

  21. ثُمَّ أَمَاتَهُۥ فَأَقْبَرَهُۥ80:21

    Thumma amatahu fa-aqbarah

    Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him.

  22. ثُمَّ إِذَا شَآءَ أَنشَرَهُۥ80:22

    Thumma iza shaa-a ansharah

    Then when He wills, He will resurrect him.

  23. كَلَّا لَمَّا يَقْضِ مَآ أَمَرَهُۥ80:23

    Kalla lamma yaqdi maa amarah.

    No! Man has not yet accomplished what He commanded him.

  24. فَلْيَنظُرِ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ إِلَىٰ طَعَامِهِۦٓ80:24

    Falyanzuril insanu ilaa ta-amih

    Then let mankind look at his food -

  25. اَنَّا صَبَبْنَا ٱلْمَآءَ صَبًّۭا80:25

    Anna sabab nalmaa-a sabba.

    How We poured down water in torrents,

  26. ثُمَّ شَقَقْنَا ٱلْأَرْضَ شَقًّۭا80:26

    Thumma sha qaqnal-arda shaqqa.

    Then We broke open the earth, splitting [it with sprouts],

  27. فَأَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا حَبًّۭا80:27

    Fa ambatna feeha habba

    And caused to grow within it grain

  28. وَعِنَبًۭا وَقَضْبًۭا80:28

    Wa 'inabaw-wa qadba

    And grapes and herbage

  29. وَزَيْتُونًۭا وَنَخْلًۭا80:29

    Wa zaitoonaw wanakh la'

    And olive and palm trees

  30. وَحَدَآئِقَ غُلْبًۭا80:30

    Wa hadaa-iqa ghulba

    And gardens of dense shrubbery

  31. وَفَـٰكِهَةًۭ وَأَبًّۭا80:31

    Wa faki hataw-wa abba.

    And fruit and grass -

  32. مَّتَـٰعًۭا لَّكُمْ وَلِأَنْعَـٰمِكُمْ80:32

    Mata'al-lakum wa li-an'amikum.

    [As] enjoyment for you and your grazing livestock.

  33. فَإِذَا جَآءَتِ ٱلصَّآخَّةُ80:33

    Faiza jaa-atis saakhah.

    But when there comes the Deafening Blast

  34. يَوْمَ يَفِرُّ ٱلْمَرْءُ مِنْ أَخِيهِ80:34

    Yauma yafir-rul mar-u min akheeh

    On the Day a man will flee from his brother

  35. وَأُمِّهِۦ وَأَبِيهِ80:35

    Wa ummihee wa abeeh

    And his mother and his father

  36. وَصَـٰحِبَتِهِۦ وَبَنِيهِ80:36

    Wa sahi batihee wa baneeh.

    And his wife and his children,

  37. لِكُلِّ ٱمْرِئٍۢ مِّنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ شَأْنٌۭ يُغْنِيهِ80:37

    Likul limri-im-minuhm yaumaa-izin shaa nuy-yughneeh

    For every man, that Day, will be a matter adequate for him.

  38. وُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ مُّسْفِرَةٌۭ80:38

    Wujoo huny-yauma-izim-musfira;

    [Some] faces, that Day, will be bright -

  39. ضَاحِكَةٌۭ مُّسْتَبْشِرَةٌۭ80:39

    Dahi katum mustab shirah

    Laughing, rejoicing at good news.

  40. وَوُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَيْهَا غَبَرَةٌۭ80:40

    Wa wujoohuy yauma-izin 'alaiha ghabar a

    And [other] faces, that Day, will have upon them dust.

  41. تَرْهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ80:41

    Tarhaquha qatarah.

    Blackness will cover them.

  42. أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْكَفَرَةُ ٱلْفَجَرَةُ80:42

    Ulaa-ika humul-kafa ratul-fajarah.

    Those are the disbelievers, the wicked ones.

سُورَةُ التَّكْوِيرِ

81. At-Takwir

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. إِذَا ٱلشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ81:1

    Izash shamsu kuwwirat

    When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness]

  2. وَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ ٱنكَدَرَتْ81:2

    Wa izan nujoomun kadarat

    And when the stars fall, dispersing,

  3. وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتْ81:3

    Wa izal jibaalu suyyirat

    And when the mountains are removed

  4. وَإِذَا ٱلْعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتْ81:4

    Wa izal 'ishaaru 'uttilat

    And when full-term she-camels are neglected

  5. وَإِذَا ٱلْوُحُوشُ حُشِرَتْ81:5

    Wa izal wuhooshu hushirat

    And when the wild beasts are gathered

  6. وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْ81:6

    Wa izal bihaaru sujjirat

    And when the seas are filled with flame

  7. وَإِذَا ٱلنُّفُوسُ زُوِّجَتْ81:7

    Wa izan nufoosu zuwwijat

    And when the souls are paired

  8. وَإِذَا ٱلْمَوْءُۥدَةُ سُئِلَتْ81:8

    Wa izal maw'oodatu su'ilat

    And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked

  9. بِأَىِّ ذَنۢبٍۢ قُتِلَتْ81:9

    Bi ayyi zambin qutilat

    For what sin she was killed

  10. وَإِذَا ٱلصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْ81:10

    Wa izas suhufu nushirat

    And when the pages are made public

  11. وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ كُشِطَتْ81:11

    Wa izas samaaa'u kushitat

    And when the sky is stripped away

  12. وَإِذَا ٱلْجَحِيمُ سُعِّرَتْ81:12

    Wa izal jaheemu su'-'irat

    And when Hellfire is set ablaze

  13. وَإِذَا ٱلْجَنَّةُ أُزْلِفَتْ81:13

    Wa izal jannatu uzlifat

    And when Paradise is brought near,

  14. عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌۭ مَّآ أَحْضَرَتْ81:14

    'Alimat nafsum maaa ahdarat

    A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it].

  15. فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلْخُنَّسِ81:15

    Falaaa uqsimu bil khunnas

    So I swear by the retreating stars -

  16. ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْكُنَّسِ81:16

    Al jawaaril kunnas

    Those that run [their courses] and disappear -

  17. وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ81:17

    Wallaili izaa 'as'as

    And by the night as it closes in

  18. وَٱلصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ81:18

    Wassubhi izaa tanaffas

    And by the dawn when it breathes

  19. إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍۢ كَرِيمٍۢ81:19

    Innahoo laqawlu rasoolin kareem

    [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger

  20. ذِى قُوَّةٍ عِندَ ذِى ٱلْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍۢ81:20

    Zee quwwatin 'inda zil 'arshi makeen

    [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position],

  21. مُّطَاعٍۢ ثَمَّ أَمِينٍۢ81:21

    Mutaa'in samma ameen

    Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy.

  22. وَمَا صَاحِبُكُم بِمَجْنُونٍۢ81:22

    Wa maa saahibukum bimajnoon

    And your companion is not [at all] mad.

  23. وَلَقَدْ رَءَاهُ بِٱلْأُفُقِ ٱلْمُبِينِ81:23

    Wa laqad ra aahu bilufuqil mubeen

    And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon.

  24. وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى ٱلْغَيْبِ بِضَنِينٍۢ81:24

    Wa maa huwa 'alal ghaibi bidaneen

    And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen.

  25. وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطَـٰنٍۢ رَّجِيمٍۢ81:25

    Wa maa huwa biqawli shaitaanir rajeem

    And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens].

  26. فَأَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ81:26

    Fa ayna tazhaboon

    So where are you going?

  27. إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌۭ لِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ81:27

    In huwa illaa zikrul lil'aalameen

    It is not except a reminder to the worlds

  28. لِمَن شَآءَ مِنكُمْ أَن يَسْتَقِيمَ81:28

    Liman shaaa'a minkum ai yastaqeem

    For whoever wills among you to take a right course.

  29. وَمَا تَشَآءُونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ81:29

    Wa maa tashaaa'oona illaaa ai yashaaa 'al laahu Rabbul 'Aalameen

    And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds.

سُورَةُ الإِنْفِطَارِ

82. Al-Infitar

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتْ82:1

    Izas samaaa'un fatarat

    When the sky breaks apart

  2. وَإِذَا ٱلْكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتْ82:2

    Wa izal kawaakibun tasarat

    And when the stars fall, scattering,

  3. وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ82:3

    Wa izal bihaaru fujjirat

    And when the seas are erupted

  4. وَإِذَا ٱلْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ82:4

    Wa izal qubooru bu'sirat

    And when the [contents of] graves are scattered,

  5. عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌۭ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ82:5

    'Alimat nafsum maa qaddamat wa akhkharat

    A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back.

  6. يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ82:6

    Yaaa ayyuhal insaaanu maa gharraka bi Rabbikal kareem

    O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous,

  7. ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ82:7

    Allazee khalaqaka fasaw waaka fa'adalak

    Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you?

  8. فِىٓ أَىِّ صُورَةٍۢ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ82:8

    Feee ayye sooratim maa shaaa'a rakkabak

    In whatever form He willed has He assembled you.

  9. كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ82:9

    Kalla bal tukazziboona bid deen

    No! But you deny the Recompense.

  10. وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَـٰفِظِينَ82:10

    Wa inna 'alaikum lahaa fizeen

    And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers,

  11. كِرَامًۭا كَـٰتِبِينَ82:11

    Kiraaman kaatibeen

    Noble and recording;

  12. يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ82:12

    Ya'lamoona ma taf'aloon

    They know whatever you do.

  13. إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍۢ82:13

    Innal abraara lafee na'eem

    Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure,

  14. وَإِنَّ ٱلْفُجَّارَ لَفِى جَحِيمٍۢ82:14

    Wa innal fujjaara lafee jaheem

    And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire.

  15. يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ82:15

    Yaslawnahaa Yawmad Deen

    They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense,

  16. وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ82:16

    Wa maa hum 'anhaa bighaaa 'ibeen

    And never therefrom will they be absent.

  17. وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ82:17

    Wa maaa adraaka maa Yawmud Deen

    And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?

  18. ثُمَّ مَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ82:18

    Summa maaa adraaka maa Yawmud Deen

    Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?

  19. يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌۭ لِّنَفْسٍۢ شَيْـًۭٔا ۖ وَٱلْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلَّهِ82:19

    Yawma laa tamliku nafsul linafsin shai'anw walamru yawma'izil lillaah

    It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah.

سُورَةُ المُطَفِّفِينَ

83. Al-Mutaffifin

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. وَيْلٌۭ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ83:1

    Wailul lil mutaffifeen

    Woe to those who give less [than due],

  2. ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ٱكْتَالُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ83:2

    Allazeena izak taaloo 'alan naasi yastawfoon

    Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full.

  3. وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ83:3

    Wa izaa kaaloohum aw wazanoohum yukhsiroon

    But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss.

  4. أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ83:4

    Alaa yazunnu ulaaa'ika annahum mab'oosoon

    Do they not think that they will be resurrected

  5. لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍۢ83:5

    Li Yawmin 'Azeem

    For a tremendous Day -

  6. يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلنَّاسُ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ83:6

    Yawma yaqoomun naasu li Rabbil 'aalameen

    The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds?

  7. كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَـٰبَ ٱلْفُجَّارِ لَفِى سِجِّينٍۢ83:7

    Kallaaa inna kitaabal fujjaari lafee Sijjeen

    No! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjeen.

  8. وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا سِجِّينٌۭ83:8

    Wa maa adraaka maa Sijjeen

    And what can make you know what is sijjeen?

  9. كِتَـٰبٌۭ مَّرْقُومٌۭ83:9

    Kitaabum marqoom

    It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed.

  10. وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ83:10

    Wailuny yawma'izil lil mukazzibeen

    Woe, that Day, to the deniers,

  11. ٱلَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ83:11

    Allazeena yukazziboona bi yawmid deen

    Who deny the Day of Recompense.

  12. وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ83:12

    Wa maa yukazzibu biheee illaa kullu mu'tadin aseem

    And none deny it except every sinful transgressor.

  13. إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَـٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَـٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ83:13

    Izaa tutlaa'alaihi aayaatunaa qaala asaateerul awwaleen

    When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples."

  14. كَلَّا ۖ بَلْ ۜ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ83:14

    Kallaa bal raana 'alaa quloobihim maa kaanoo yaksiboon

    No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning.

  15. كَلَّآ إِنَّهُمْ عَن رَّبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لَّمَحْجُوبُونَ83:15

    Kallaaa innahum 'ar Rabbihim yawma'izil lamah jooboon

    No! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned.

  16. ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُوا۟ ٱلْجَحِيمِ83:16

    Summa innahum lasaa lul jaheem

    Then indeed, they will [enter and] burn in Hellfire.

  17. ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ83:17

    Summa yuqaalu haazal lazee kuntum bihee tukazziboon

    Then it will be said [to them], "This is what you used to deny."

  18. كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَـٰبَ ٱلْأَبْرَارِ لَفِى عِلِّيِّينَ83:18

    Kallaaa inna kitaabal abraari lafee'Illiyyeen

    No! Indeed, the record of the righteous is in 'illiyyun.

  19. وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ83:19

    Wa maaa adraaka maa 'Illiyyoon

    And what can make you know what is 'illiyyun?

  20. كِتَـٰبٌۭ مَّرْقُومٌۭ83:20

    Kitaabum marqoom

    It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed

  21. يَشْهَدُهُ ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ83:21

    Yashhadu hul muqarra boon

    Which is witnessed by those brought near [to Allah].

  22. إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ83:22

    Innal abraara lafee Na'eem

    Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure

  23. عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ83:23

    'Alal araaa'iki yanzuroon

    On adorned couches, observing.

  24. تَعْرِفُ فِى وُجُوهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ ٱلنَّعِيمِ83:24

    Ta'rifu fee wujoohihim nadratan na'eem

    You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure.

  25. يُسْقَوْنَ مِن رَّحِيقٍۢ مَّخْتُومٍ83:25

    Yusqawna mir raheeqim makhtoom

    They will be given to drink [pure] wine [which was] sealed.

  26. خِتَـٰمُهُۥ مِسْكٌۭ ۚ وَفِى ذَٰلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ ٱلْمُتَنَـٰفِسُونَ83:26

    Khitaamuhoo misk; wa fee zaalika falyatanaafasil Mutanaafisoon

    The last of it is musk. So for this let the competitors compete.

  27. وَمِزَاجُهُۥ مِن تَسْنِيمٍ83:27

    Wa mizaajuhoo min Tasneem

    And its mixture is of Tasneem,

  28. عَيْنًۭا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ83:28

    'Ainaiy yashrabu bihal muqarraboon

    A spring from which those near [to Allah] drink.

  29. إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا۟ كَانُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ يَضْحَكُونَ83:29

    Innal lazeena ajramoo kaanoo minal lazeena aamanoo yadhakoon

    Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed.

  30. وَإِذَا مَرُّوا۟ بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُونَ83:30

    Wa izaa marroo bihim yataghaamazoon

    And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances.

  31. وَإِذَا ٱنقَلَبُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِمُ ٱنقَلَبُوا۟ فَكِهِينَ83:31

    Wa izan qalabooo ilaaa ahlihimun qalaboo fakiheen

    And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting.

  32. وَإِذَا رَأَوْهُمْ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَضَآلُّونَ83:32

    Wa izaa ra awhum qaalooo inna haaa'ulaaa'i ladaaal loon

    And when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost."

  33. وَمَآ أُرْسِلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ حَـٰفِظِينَ83:33

    Wa maaa ursiloo 'alaihim haafizeen

    But they had not been sent as guardians over them.

  34. فَٱلْيَوْمَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُونَ83:34

    Fal yawmal lazeena aamanoo minal kuffaari yadhakoon

    So Today those who believed are laughing at the disbelievers,

  35. عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ83:35

    'Alal araaa'iki yanzuroon

    On adorned couches, observing.

  36. هَلْ ثُوِّبَ ٱلْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْعَلُونَ83:36

    Hal suwwibal kuffaaru maa kaanoo yaf'aloon

    Have the disbelievers [not] been rewarded [this Day] for what they used to do?

سُورَةُ الإِنْشِقَاقِ

84. Al-Inshiqaq

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنشَقَّتْ84:1

    Izas samaaa'un shaqqat

    When the sky has split [open]

  2. وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ84:2

    Wa azinat li Rabbihaa wa huqqat

    And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so]

  3. وَإِذَا ٱلْأَرْضُ مُدَّتْ84:3

    Wa izal ardu muddat

    And when the earth has been extended

  4. وَأَلْقَتْ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتْ84:4

    Wa alqat maa feehaa wa takhallat

    And has cast out that within it and relinquished [it]

  5. وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ84:5

    Wa azinat li Rabbihaa wa huqqat

    And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] -

  6. يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ إِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَدْحًۭا فَمُلَـٰقِيهِ84:6

    Yaaa ayyuhal insaanu innaka kaadihun ilaa Rabbika kad han famulaaqeeh

    O mankind, indeed you are laboring toward your Lord with [great] exertion and will meet it.

  7. فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَـٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ84:7

    Fa ammaa man ootiya kitaabahoo biyameenih

    Then as for he who is given his record in his right hand,

  8. فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًۭا يَسِيرًۭا84:8

    Fasawfa yuhaasabu hi saabai yaseeraa

    He will be judged with an easy account

  9. وَيَنقَلِبُ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًۭا84:9

    Wa yanqalibu ilaaa ahlihee masrooraa

    And return to his people in happiness.

  10. وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَـٰبَهُۥ وَرَآءَ ظَهْرِهِۦ84:10

    Wa ammaa man ootiya kitaabahoo waraaa'a zahrih

    But as for he who is given his record behind his back,

  11. فَسَوْفَ يَدْعُوا۟ ثُبُورًۭا84:11

    Fasawfa yad'oo subooraa

    He will cry out for destruction

  12. وَيَصْلَىٰ سَعِيرًا84:12

    Wa yaslaa sa'eeraa

    And [enter to] burn in a Blaze.

  13. إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فِىٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًا84:13

    Innahoo kaana feee ahlihee masrooraa

    Indeed, he had [once] been among his people in happiness;

  14. إِنَّهُۥ ظَنَّ أَن لَّن يَحُورَ84:14

    Innahoo zanna al lai yahoor

    Indeed, he had thought he would never return [to Allah].

  15. بَلَىٰٓ إِنَّ رَبَّهُۥ كَانَ بِهِۦ بَصِيرًۭا84:15

    Balaaa inna Rabbahoo kaana bihee baseeraa

    But yes! Indeed, his Lord was ever of him, Seeing.

  16. فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلشَّفَقِ84:16

    Falaaa uqsimu bishshafaq

    So I swear by the twilight glow

  17. وَٱلَّيْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ84:17

    Wallaili wa maa wasaq

    And [by] the night and what it envelops

  18. وَٱلْقَمَرِ إِذَا ٱتَّسَقَ84:18

    Walqamari izat tasaq

    And [by] the moon when it becomes full

  19. لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَن طَبَقٍۢ84:19

    Latarkabunna tabaqan 'an tabaq

    [That] you will surely experience state after state.

  20. فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ84:20

    Famaa lahum laa yu'minoon

    So what is [the matter] with them [that] they do not believe,

  21. وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ لَا يَسْجُدُونَ ۩84:21

    Wa izaa quri'a 'alaihimul Quraanu laa yasjudoon

    And when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate [to Allah]?

  22. بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يُكَذِّبُونَ84:22

    Balil lazeena kafaroo yukazziboon

    But those who have disbelieved deny,

  23. وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُوعُونَ84:23

    Wallaahu a'lamu bimaa yoo'oon

    And Allah is most knowing of what they keep within themselves.

  24. فَبَشِّرْهُم بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ84:24

    Fabashshirhum bi'azaabin aleem

    So give them tidings of a painful punishment,

  25. إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍۭ84:25

    Illal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati lahum ajrun ghairu mamnoon

    Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds. For them is a reward uninterrupted.

سُورَةُ البُرُوجِ

85. Al-Buruj

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْبُرُوجِ85:1

    Wassamaaa'i zaatil burooj

    By the sky containing great stars

  2. وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْمَوْعُودِ85:2

    Wal yawmil maw'ood

    And [by] the promised Day

  3. وَشَاهِدٍۢ وَمَشْهُودٍۢ85:3

    Wa shaahidinw wa mashhood

    And [by] the witness and what is witnessed,

  4. قُتِلَ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْأُخْدُودِ85:4

    Qutila as haabul ukhdood

    Cursed were the companions of the trench

  5. ٱلنَّارِ ذَاتِ ٱلْوَقُودِ85:5

    Annaari zaatil waqood

    [Containing] the fire full of fuel,

  6. إِذْ هُمْ عَلَيْهَا قُعُودٌۭ85:6

    Iz hum 'alaihaa qu'ood

    When they were sitting near it

  7. وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفْعَلُونَ بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ شُهُودٌۭ85:7

    Wa hum 'alaa maa yaf'aloona bilmu 'mineena shuhood

    And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses.

  8. وَمَا نَقَمُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَمِيدِ85:8

    Wa maa naqamoo minhum illaaa aiyu'minoo billaahil 'azeezil Hameed

    And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy,

  9. ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ شَهِيدٌ85:9

    Allazee lahoo mulkus samaawaati wal ard; wallaahu 'alaa kulli shai 'in Shaheed

    To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness.

  10. إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ فَتَنُوا۟ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُوبُوا۟ فَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ ٱلْحَرِيقِ85:10

    Innal lazeena fatanul mu'mineena wal mu'minaati summa lam yatooboo falahum 'azaabu Jahannama wa lahum 'azaabul hareeq

    Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire.

  11. إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّـٰتٌۭ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْكَبِيرُ85:11

    Innal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati lahum Jannaatun tajree min tahtihal anhaar; zaalikal fawzul kabeer

    Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment.

  12. إِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ85:12

    Inna batsha Rabbika lashadeed

    Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe.

  13. إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ85:13

    Innahoo Huwa yubdi'u wa yu'eed

    Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats.

  14. وَهُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلْوَدُودُ85:14

    Wa Huwal Ghafoorul Wadood

    And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate,

  15. ذُو ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْمَجِيدُ85:15

    Zul 'Arshil Majeed

    Honorable Owner of the Throne,

  16. فَعَّالٌۭ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ85:16

    Fa' 'aalul limaa yureed

    Effecter of what He intends.

  17. هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلْجُنُودِ85:17

    Hal ataaka hadeesul junood

    Has there reached you the story of the soldiers -

  18. فِرْعَوْنَ وَثَمُودَ85:18

    Fir'awna wa Samood

    [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud?

  19. بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِى تَكْذِيبٍۢ85:19

    Balil lazeena kafaroo fee takzeeb

    But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial,

  20. وَٱللَّهُ مِن وَرَآئِهِم مُّحِيطٌۢ85:20

    Wallaahu minw waraaa'ihim muheet

    While Allah encompasses them from behind.

  21. بَلْ هُوَ قُرْءَانٌۭ مَّجِيدٌۭ85:21

    Bal huwa Quraanum Majeed

    But this is an honored Qur'an

  22. فِى لَوْحٍۢ مَّحْفُوظٍۭ85:22

    Fee Lawhim Mahfooz

    [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate.

سُورَةُ الطَّارِقِ

86. At-Tariq

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلطَّارِقِ86:1

    Wassamaaa'i wattaariq

    By the sky and the night comer -

  2. وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلطَّارِقُ86:2

    Wa maaa adraaka mattaariq

    And what can make you know what is the night comer?

  3. ٱلنَّجْمُ ٱلثَّاقِبُ86:3

    Annajmus saaqib

    It is the piercing star -

  4. إِن كُلُّ نَفْسٍۢ لَّمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌۭ86:4

    In kullu nafsil lammaa 'alaihaa haafiz

    There is no soul but that it has over it a protector.

  5. فَلْيَنظُرِ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ86:5

    Fal yanzuril insaanu mimma khuliq

    So let man observe from what he was created.

  6. خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءٍۢ دَافِقٍۢ86:6

    Khuliqa mim maaa'in daafiq

    He was created from a fluid, ejected,

  7. يَخْرُجُ مِنۢ بَيْنِ ٱلصُّلْبِ وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِ86:7

    Yakhruju mim bainissulbi wat taraaa'ib

    Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs.

  8. إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَجْعِهِۦ لَقَادِرٌۭ86:8

    Innahoo 'alaa raj'ihee laqaadir

    Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able.

  9. يَوْمَ تُبْلَى ٱلسَّرَآئِرُ86:9

    Yawma tublas saraaa'ir

    The Day when secrets will be put on trial,

  10. فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن قُوَّةٍۢ وَلَا نَاصِرٍۢ86:10

    Famaa lahoo min quwwatinw wa laa naasir

    Then man will have no power or any helper.

  11. وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجْعِ86:11

    Wassamaaa'i zaatir raj'

    By the sky which returns [rain]

  12. وَٱلْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدْعِ86:12

    Wal ardi zaatis sad'

    And [by] the earth which cracks open,

  13. إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلٌۭ فَصْلٌۭ86:13

    Innahoo laqawlun fasl

    Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement,

  14. وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلْهَزْلِ86:14

    Wa maa huwa bil hazl

    And it is not amusement.

  15. إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْدًۭا86:15

    Innahum yakeedoona kaidaa

    Indeed, they are planning a plan,

  16. وَأَكِيدُ كَيْدًۭا86:16

    Wa akeedu kaidaa

    But I am planning a plan.

  17. فَمَهِّلِ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًۢا86:17

    Famahhilil kaafireena amhilhum ruwaidaa

    So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile.

سُورَةُ الأَعْلَىٰ

87. Al-A'la

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى87:1

    Sabbihisma Rabbikal A'laa

    Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High,

  2. ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ87:2

    Allazee khalaqa fasawwaa

    Who created and proportioned

  3. وَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ87:3

    Wallazee qaddara fahadaa

    And who destined and [then] guided

  4. وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ87:4

    Wallazeee akhrajal mar'aa

    And who brings out the pasture

  5. فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحْوَىٰ87:5

    Faja'alahoo ghusaaa'an ahwaa

    And [then] makes it black stubble.

  6. سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ87:6

    Sanuqri'uka falaa tansaaa

    We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget,

  7. إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ87:7

    Illaa maa shaaa'al laah; innahoo ya'lamul jahra wa maa yakhfaa

    Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden.

  8. وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ87:8

    Wa nu-yassiruka lilyusraa

    And We will ease you toward ease.

  9. فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ87:9

    Fazakkir in nafa'atizzikraa

    So remind, if the reminder should benefit;

  10. سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ87:10

    Sa yazzakkaru maiyakhshaa

    He who fears [Allah] will be reminded.

  11. وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَى87:11

    Wa yatajannabuhal ashqaa

    But the wretched one will avoid it -

  12. ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ87:12

    Allazee yaslan Naaral kubraa

    [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire,

  13. ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ87:13

    Summa laa yamootu feehaa wa laa yahyaa

    Neither dying therein nor living.

  14. قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ87:14

    Qad aflaha man tazakkaa

    He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself

  15. وَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ87:15

    Wa zakaras ma Rabbihee fasallaa

    And mentions the name of his Lord and prays.

  16. بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا87:16

    Bal tu'siroonal hayaatad dunyaa

    But you prefer the worldly life,

  17. وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ87:17

    Wal Aakhiratu khairunw wa abqaa

    While the Hereafter is better and more enduring.

  18. إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ87:18

    Inna haazaa lafis suhu fil oolaa

    Indeed, this is in the former scriptures,

  19. صُحُفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ87:19

    Suhufi Ibraaheema wa Moosaa

    The scriptures of Abraham and Moses.

سُورَةُ الغَاشِيَةِ

88. Al-Ghashiyah

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلْغَـٰشِيَةِ88:1

    Hal ataaka hadeesul ghaashiyah

    Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]?

  2. وُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَـٰشِعَةٌ88:2

    Wujoohuny yawma 'izin khaashi'ah

    [Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled,

  3. عَامِلَةٌۭ نَّاصِبَةٌۭ88:3

    'Aamilatun naasibah

    Working [hard] and exhausted.

  4. تَصْلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةًۭ88:4

    Taslaa naaran haamiyah

    They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire.

  5. تُسْقَىٰ مِنْ عَيْنٍ ءَانِيَةٍۢ88:5

    Tusqaa min 'aynin aaniyah

    They will be given drink from a boiling spring.

  6. لَّيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٍۢ88:6

    Laisa lahum ta'aamun illaa min daree'

    For them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant

  7. لَّا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِن جُوعٍۢ88:7

    Laa yusminu wa laa yughnee min joo'

    Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger.

  8. وُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ نَّاعِمَةٌۭ88:8

    Wujoohuny yawma 'izin naa'imah

    [Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure.

  9. لِّسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌۭ88:9

    Lisa'yihaa raadiyah

    With their effort [they are] satisfied

  10. فِى جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍۢ88:10

    Fee jannatin 'aaliyah

    In an elevated garden,

  11. لَّا تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لَـٰغِيَةًۭ88:11

    Laa tasma'u feehaa laaghiyah

    Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech.

  12. فِيهَا عَيْنٌۭ جَارِيَةٌۭ88:12

    Feehaa 'aynun jaariyah

    Within it is a flowing spring.

  13. فِيهَا سُرُرٌۭ مَّرْفُوعَةٌۭ88:13

    Feehaa sururum marfoo'ah

    Within it are couches raised high

  14. وَأَكْوَابٌۭ مَّوْضُوعَةٌۭ88:14

    Wa akwaabum mawdoo 'ah

    And cups put in place

  15. وَنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَةٌۭ88:15

    Wa namaariqu masfoofah

    And cushions lined up

  16. وَزَرَابِىُّ مَبْثُوثَةٌ88:16

    Wa zaraabiyyu mabsoosah

    And carpets spread around.

  17. أَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى ٱلْإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ88:17

    Afalaa yanzuroona ilalibili kaifa khuliqat

    Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created?

  18. وَإِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ88:18

    Wa ilas samaaa'i kaifa rufi'at

    And at the sky - how it is raised?

  19. وَإِلَى ٱلْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ88:19

    Wa ilal jibaali kaifa nusibat

    And at the mountains - how they are erected?

  20. وَإِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ88:20

    Wa ilal ardi kaifa sutihat

    And at the earth - how it is spread out?

  21. فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٌۭ88:21

    Fazakkir innama anta Muzakkir

    So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder.

  22. لَّسْتَ عَلَيْهِم بِمُصَيْطِرٍ88:22

    Lasta 'alaihim bimusaitir

    You are not over them a controller.

  23. إِلَّا مَن تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ88:23

    Illaa man tawallaa wa kafar

    However, he who turns away and disbelieves -

  24. فَيُعَذِّبُهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَكْبَرَ88:24

    Fa yu'azzibuhul laahul 'azaabal akbar

    Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment.

  25. إِنَّ إِلَيْنَآ إِيَابَهُمْ88:25

    Innaa ilainaaa iyaabahum

    Indeed, to Us is their return.

  26. ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُم88:26

    Summa inna 'alainaa hisaabahum

    Then indeed, upon Us is their account.

سُورَةُ الفَجْرِ

89. Al-Fajr

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. وَٱلْفَجْرِ89:1

    Wal-Fajr

    By the dawn

  2. وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍۢ89:2

    Wa layaalin 'ashr

    And [by] ten nights

  3. وَٱلشَّفْعِ وَٱلْوَتْرِ89:3

    Wash shaf'i wal watr

    And [by] the even [number] and the odd

  4. وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَسْرِ89:4

    Wallaili izaa yasr

    And [by] the night when it passes,

  5. هَلْ فِى ذَٰلِكَ قَسَمٌۭ لِّذِى حِجْرٍ89:5

    Hal fee zaalika qasamul lizee hijr

    Is there [not] in [all] that an oath [sufficient] for one of perception?

  6. أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ89:6

    Alam tara kaifa fa'ala rabbuka bi'aad

    Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with 'Aad -

  7. إِرَمَ ذَاتِ ٱلْعِمَادِ89:7

    Iramaa zaatil 'imaad

    [With] Iram - who had lofty pillars,

  8. ٱلَّتِى لَمْ يُخْلَقْ مِثْلُهَا فِى ٱلْبِلَـٰدِ89:8

    Allatee lam yukhlaq misluhaa fil bilaad

    The likes of whom had never been created in the land?

  9. وَثَمُودَ ٱلَّذِينَ جَابُوا۟ ٱلصَّخْرَ بِٱلْوَادِ89:9

    Wa samoodal lazeena jaabus sakhra bil waad

    And [with] Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley?

  10. وَفِرْعَوْنَ ذِى ٱلْأَوْتَادِ89:10

    Wa fir'awna zil awtaad

    And [with] Pharaoh, owner of the stakes? -

  11. ٱلَّذِينَ طَغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْبِلَـٰدِ89:11

    Allazeena taghaw fil bilaad

    [All of] whom oppressed within the lands

  12. فَأَكْثَرُوا۟ فِيهَا ٱلْفَسَادَ89:12

    Fa aksaroo feehal fasaad

    And increased therein the corruption.

  13. فَصَبَّ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّكَ سَوْطَ عَذَابٍ89:13

    Fasabba 'alaihim Rabbuka sawta 'azaab

    So your Lord poured upon them a scourge of punishment.

  14. إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِٱلْمِرْصَادِ89:14

    Inna Rabbaka labil mirsaad

    Indeed, your Lord is in observation.

  15. فَأَمَّا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ إِذَا مَا ٱبْتَلَىٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ فَأَكْرَمَهُۥ وَنَعَّمَهُۥ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّىٓ أَكْرَمَنِ89:15

    Fa ammal insaanu izaa mab talaahu Rabbuhoo fa akramahoo wa na' 'amahoo fa yaqoolu Rabbeee akraman

    And as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and favors him, he says, "My Lord has honored me."

  16. وَأَمَّآ إِذَا مَا ٱبْتَلَىٰهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقَهُۥ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّىٓ أَهَـٰنَنِ89:16

    Wa ammaaa izaa mabtalaahu faqadara 'alaihi rizqahoo fa yaqoolu Rabbeee ahaanan

    But when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me."

  17. كَلَّا ۖ بَل لَّا تُكْرِمُونَ ٱلْيَتِيمَ89:17

    Kalla bal laa tukrimooo nal yateem

    No! But you do not honor the orphan

  18. وَلَا تَحَـٰٓضُّونَ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ89:18

    Wa laa tahaaaddoona 'alaata'aamil miskeen

    And you do not encourage one another to feed the poor.

  19. وَتَأْكُلُونَ ٱلتُّرَاثَ أَكْلًۭا لَّمًّۭا89:19

    Wa taakuloonat turaasa aklal lammaa

    And you consume inheritance, devouring [it] altogether,

  20. وَتُحِبُّونَ ٱلْمَالَ حُبًّۭا جَمًّۭا89:20

    Wa tuhibboonal maala hubban jammaa

    And you love wealth with immense love.

  21. كَلَّآ إِذَا دُكَّتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ دَكًّۭا دَكًّۭا89:21

    Kallaaa izaaa dukkatil ardu dakkan dakka

    No! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed -

  22. وَجَآءَ رَبُّكَ وَٱلْمَلَكُ صَفًّۭا صَفًّۭا89:22

    Wa jaaa'a Rabbuka wal malaku saffan saffaa

    And your Lord has come and the angels, rank upon rank,

  23. وَجِا۟ىٓءَ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بِجَهَنَّمَ ۚ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ وَأَنَّىٰ لَهُ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ89:23

    Wa jeee'a yawma'izim bi jahannnam; Yawma 'iziny yatazakkarul insaanu wa annaa lahuz zikraa

    And brought [within view], that Day, is Hell - that Day, man will remember, but what good to him will be the remembrance?

  24. يَقُولُ يَـٰلَيْتَنِى قَدَّمْتُ لِحَيَاتِى89:24

    Yaqoolu yaa laitanee qaddamtu lihayaatee

    He will say, "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life."

  25. فَيَوْمَئِذٍۢ لَّا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهُۥٓ أَحَدٌۭ89:25

    Fa Yawma izil laa yu'azzibu 'azaabahooo ahad

    So on that Day, none will punish [as severely] as His punishment,

  26. وَلَا يُوثِقُ وَثَاقَهُۥٓ أَحَدٌۭ89:26

    Wa laa yoosiqu wasaaqa hooo ahad

    And none will bind [as severely] as His binding [of the evildoers].

  27. يَـٰٓأَيَّتُهَا ٱلنَّفْسُ ٱلْمُطْمَئِنَّةُ89:27

    Yaaa ayyatuhan nafsul mutma 'innah

    [To the righteous it will be said], "O reassured soul,

  28. ٱرْجِعِىٓ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةًۭ مَّرْضِيَّةًۭ89:28

    Irji'eee ilaa Rabbiki raadiyatam mardiyyah

    Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him],

  29. فَٱدْخُلِى فِى عِبَـٰدِى89:29

    Fadkhulee fee 'ibaadee

    And enter among My [righteous] servants

  30. وَٱدْخُلِى جَنَّتِى89:30

    Wadkhulee jannatee

    And enter My Paradise."

سُورَةُ البَلَدِ

90. Al-Balad

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. لَآ أُقْسِمُ بِهَـٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ90:1

    Laaa uqsimu bihaazal balad

    I swear by this city, Makkah -

  2. وَأَنتَ حِلٌّۢ بِهَـٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ90:2

    Wa anta hillum bihaazal balad

    And you, [O Muhammad], are free of restriction in this city -

  3. وَوَالِدٍۢ وَمَا وَلَدَ90:3

    Wa waalidinw wa maa walad

    And [by] the father and that which was born [of him],

  4. لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ فِى كَبَدٍ90:4

    Laqad khalaqnal insaana fee kabad

    We have certainly created man into hardship.

  5. أَيَحْسَبُ أَن لَّن يَقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ أَحَدٌۭ90:5

    Ayahsabu al-lai yaqdira 'alaihi ahad

    Does he think that never will anyone overcome him?

  6. يَقُولُ أَهْلَكْتُ مَالًۭا لُّبَدًا90:6

    Yaqoolu ahlaktu maalal lubadaa

    He says, "I have spent wealth in abundance."

  7. أَيَحْسَبُ أَن لَّمْ يَرَهُۥٓ أَحَدٌ90:7

    Ayahsabu al lam yarahooo ahad

    Does he think that no one has seen him?

  8. أَلَمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُۥ عَيْنَيْنِ90:8

    Alam naj'al lahoo 'aynayn

    Have We not made for him two eyes?

  9. وَلِسَانًۭا وَشَفَتَيْنِ90:9

    Wa lisaananw wa shafatayn

    And a tongue and two lips?

  10. وَهَدَيْنَـٰهُ ٱلنَّجْدَيْنِ90:10

    Wa hadaynaahun najdayn

    And have shown him the two ways?

  11. فَلَا ٱقْتَحَمَ ٱلْعَقَبَةَ90:11

    Falaq tahamal-'aqabah

    But he has not broken through the difficult pass.

  12. وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْعَقَبَةُ90:12

    Wa maaa adraaka mal'aqabah

    And what can make you know what is [breaking through] the difficult pass?

  13. فَكُّ رَقَبَةٍ90:13

    Fakku raqabah

    It is the freeing of a slave

  14. أَوْ إِطْعَـٰمٌۭ فِى يَوْمٍۢ ذِى مَسْغَبَةٍۢ90:14

    Aw it'aamun fee yawmin zee masghabah

    Or feeding on a day of severe hunger

  15. يَتِيمًۭا ذَا مَقْرَبَةٍ90:15

    Yateeman zaa maqrabah

    An orphan of near relationship

  16. أَوْ مِسْكِينًۭا ذَا مَتْرَبَةٍۢ90:16

    Aw miskeenan zaa matrabah

    Or a needy person in misery

  17. ثُمَّ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلْمَرْحَمَةِ90:17

    Summa kaana minal lazeena aamanoo wa tawaasaw bissabri wa tawaasaw bilmarhamah

    And then being among those who believed and advised one another to patience and advised one another to compassion.

  18. أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ90:18

    Ulaaa'ika As-haabul maimanah

    Those are the companions of the right.

  19. وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا هُمْ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ90:19

    Wallazeena kafaroo bi aayaatinaa hum as-haabul Mash'amah

    But they who disbelieved in Our signs - those are the companions of the left.

  20. عَلَيْهِمْ نَارٌۭ مُّؤْصَدَةٌۢ90:20

    Alaihim naarum mu'sadah

    Over them will be fire closed in.

سُورَةُ الشَّمْسِ

91. Ash-Shams

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. وَٱلشَّمْسِ وَضُحَىٰهَا91:1

    Wash shamsi wa duhaa haa

    By the sun and its brightness

  2. وَٱلْقَمَرِ إِذَا تَلَىٰهَا91:2

    Wal qamari izaa talaa haa

    And [by] the moon when it follows it

  3. وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا جَلَّىٰهَا91:3

    Wannahaari izaa jallaa haa

    And [by] the day when it displays it

  4. وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰهَا91:4

    Wallaili izaa yaghshaa haa

    And [by] the night when it covers it

  5. وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا بَنَىٰهَا91:5

    Wassamaaa'i wa maa banaahaa

    And [by] the sky and He who constructed it

  6. وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا طَحَىٰهَا91:6

    Wal ardi wa maa tahaahaa

    And [by] the earth and He who spread it

  7. وَنَفْسٍۢ وَمَا سَوَّىٰهَا91:7

    Wa nafsinw wa maa sawwaahaa

    And [by] the soul and He who proportioned it

  8. فَأَلْهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقْوَىٰهَا91:8

    Fa-alhamahaa fujoorahaa wa taqwaahaa

    And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness,

  9. قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن زَكَّىٰهَا91:9

    Qad aflaha man zakkaahaa

    He has succeeded who purifies it,

  10. وَقَدْ خَابَ مَن دَسَّىٰهَا91:10

    Wa qad khaaba man dassaahaa

    And he has failed who instills it [with corruption].

  11. كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِطَغْوَىٰهَآ91:11

    Kazzabat Samoodu bi taghwaahaaa

    Thamud denied [their prophet] by reason of their transgression,

  12. إِذِ ٱنۢبَعَثَ أَشْقَىٰهَا91:12

    Izim ba'asa ashqaahaa

    When the most wretched of them was sent forth.

  13. فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ نَاقَةَ ٱللَّهِ وَسُقْيَـٰهَا91:13

    Faqaala lahum Rasoolul laahi naaqatal laahi wa suqiyaahaa

    And the messenger of Allah [Salih] said to them, "[Do not harm] the she-camel of Allah or [prevent her from] her drink."

  14. فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَدَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُم بِذَنۢبِهِمْ فَسَوَّىٰهَا91:14

    Fakazzaboohu fa'aqaroohaa fadamdama 'alaihim Rabbuhum bizambihim fasaw waahaa

    But they denied him and hamstrung her. So their Lord brought down upon them destruction for their sin and made it equal [upon all of them].

  15. وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقْبَـٰهَا91:15

    Wa laa yakhaafu'uqbaahaa

    And He does not fear the consequence thereof.

سُورَةُ اللَّيْلِ

92. Al-Layl

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ92:1

    Wallaili izaa yaghshaa

    By the night when it covers

  2. وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ92:2

    Wannahaari izaa tajalla

    And [by] the day when it appears

  3. وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ92:3

    Wa maa khalaqaz zakara wal unthaa

    And [by] He who created the male and female,

  4. إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ92:4

    Inna sa'yakum lashattaa

    Indeed, your efforts are diverse.

  5. فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَٱتَّقَىٰ92:5

    Fa ammaa man a'taa wattaqaa

    As for he who gives and fears Allah

  6. وَصَدَّقَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ92:6

    Wa saddaqa bil husnaa

    And believes in the best [reward],

  7. فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ92:7

    Fasanu yassiruhoo lilyusraa

    We will ease him toward ease.

  8. وَأَمَّا مَنۢ بَخِلَ وَٱسْتَغْنَىٰ92:8

    Wa ammaa mam bakhila wastaghnaa

    But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need

  9. وَكَذَّبَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ92:9

    Wa kazzaba bil husnaa

    And denies the best [reward],

  10. فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ92:10

    Fasanu yassiruhoo lil'usraa

    We will ease him toward difficulty.

  11. وَمَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥٓ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰٓ92:11

    Wa maa yughnee 'anhu maaluhooo izaa taraddaa

    And what will his wealth avail him when he falls?

  12. إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَىٰ92:12

    Inna 'alainaa lal hudaa

    Indeed, [incumbent] upon Us is guidance.

  13. وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْـَٔاخِرَةَ وَٱلْأُولَىٰ92:13

    Wa inna lanaa lal Aakhirata wal oolaa

    And indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life].

  14. فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًۭا تَلَظَّىٰ92:14

    Fa anzartukum naaran talazzaa

    So I have warned you of a Fire which is blazing.

  15. لَا يَصْلَىٰهَآ إِلَّا ٱلْأَشْقَى92:15

    Laa yaslaahaaa illal ashqaa

    None will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched one.

  16. ٱلَّذِى كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ92:16

    Allazee kazzaba wa tawallaa

    Who had denied and turned away.

  17. وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَتْقَى92:17

    Wa sa yujannnabuhal atqaa

    But the righteous one will avoid it -

  18. ٱلَّذِى يُؤْتِى مَالَهُۥ يَتَزَكَّىٰ92:18

    Allazee yu'tee maalahoo yatazakkaa

    [He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himself

  19. وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُۥ مِن نِّعْمَةٍۢ تُجْزَىٰٓ92:19

    Wa maa li ahadin 'indahoo min ni'matin tujzaaa

    And not [giving] for anyone who has [done him] a favor to be rewarded

  20. إِلَّا ٱبْتِغَآءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ92:20

    Illab tighaaa'a wajhi rabbihil a 'laa

    But only seeking the countenance of his Lord, Most High.

  21. وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَىٰ92:21

    Wa lasawfa yardaa

    And he is going to be satisfied.

سُورَةُ الضُّحَىٰ

93. Ad-Duha

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. وَٱلضُّحَىٰ93:1

    Wad duhaa

    By the morning brightness

  2. وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ93:2

    Wal laili iza sajaa

    And [by] the night when it covers with darkness,

  3. مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ93:3

    Ma wad da'aka rabbuka wa ma qalaa

    Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you].

  4. وَلَلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ93:4

    Walal-aakhiratu khairul laka minal-oola

    And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life].

  5. وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ93:5

    Wa la sawfa y'uteeka rabbuka fatarda

    And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.

  6. أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًۭا فَـَٔاوَىٰ93:6

    Alam ya jidka yateeman fa aawaa

    Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge?

  7. وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّۭا فَهَدَىٰ93:7

    Wa wa jadaka daal lan fahada

    And He found you lost and guided [you],

  8. وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًۭا فَأَغْنَىٰ93:8

    Wa wa jadaka 'aa-ilan fa aghnaa

    And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient.

  9. فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ93:9

    Fa am mal yateema fala taqhar

    So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him].

  10. وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ93:10

    Wa am mas saa-ila fala tanhar

    And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him].

  11. وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ93:11

    Wa amma bi ni'mati rabbika fahad dith

    But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it].

سُورَةُ الشَّرْحِ

94. Ash-Sharh

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ94:1

    Alam nashrah laka sadrak

    Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast?

  2. وَوَضَعْنَا عَنكَ وِزْرَكَ94:2

    Wa wa d'ana 'anka wizrak

    And We removed from you your burden

  3. ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ94:3

    Allazee anqada zahrak

    Which had weighed upon your back

  4. وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ94:4

    Wa raf 'ana laka zikrak

    And raised high for you your repute.

  5. فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا94:5

    Fa inna ma'al usri yusra

    For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.

  6. إِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًۭا94:6

    Inna ma'al 'usri yusra

    Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.

  7. فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَٱنصَبْ94:7

    Fa iza faragh ta fansab

    So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship].

  8. وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَٱرْغَب94:8

    Wa ilaa rabbika far ghab

    And to your Lord direct [your] longing.

سُورَةُ التِّينِ

95. At-Tin

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. وَٱلتِّينِ وَٱلزَّيْتُونِ95:1

    Wat teeni waz zaitoon

    By the fig and the olive

  2. وَطُورِ سِينِينَ95:2

    Wa toori sineen

    And [by] Mount Sinai

  3. وَهَـٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ ٱلْأَمِينِ95:3

    Wa haazal balad-il ameen

    And [by] this secure city [Makkah],

  4. لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ فِىٓ أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍۢ95:4

    Laqad khalaqnal insaana fee ahsani taqweem

    We have certainly created man in the best of stature;

  5. ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَـٰهُ أَسْفَلَ سَـٰفِلِينَ95:5

    Thumma ra dad naahu asfala saafileen

    Then We return him to the lowest of the low,

  6. إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍۢ95:6

    Ill-lal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati; falahum ajrun ghairu mamnoon

    Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds, for they will have a reward uninterrupted.

  7. فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِٱلدِّينِ95:7

    Fama yu kaz zibuka b'adu bid deen

    So what yet causes you to deny the Recompense?

  8. أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ ٱلْحَـٰكِمِينَ95:8

    Alai sal laahu bi-ahkamil haakimeen

    Is not Allah the most just of judges?

سُورَةُ العَلَقِ

96. Al-'Alaq

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. ٱقْرَأْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ96:1

    Iqra bismi rab bikal lazee khalaq

    Recite in the name of your Lord who created -

  2. خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ96:2

    Khalaqal insaana min 'alaq

    Created man from a clinging substance.

  3. ٱقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ ٱلْأَكْرَمُ96:3

    Iqra wa rab bukal akram

    Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous -

  4. ٱلَّذِى عَلَّمَ بِٱلْقَلَمِ96:4

    Al lazee 'allama bil qalam

    Who taught by the pen -

  5. عَلَّمَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ96:5

    'Al lamal insaana ma lam y'alam

    Taught man that which he knew not.

  6. كَلَّآ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لَيَطْغَىٰٓ96:6

    Kallaa innal insaana layatghaa

    No! [But] indeed, man transgresses

  7. أَن رَّءَاهُ ٱسْتَغْنَىٰٓ96:7

    Ar-ra aahus taghnaa

    Because he sees himself self-sufficient.

  8. إِنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ٱلرُّجْعَىٰٓ96:8

    Innna ilaa rabbikar ruj'aa

    Indeed, to your Lord is the return.

  9. أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى يَنْهَىٰ96:9

    Ara-aital lazee yanhaa

    Have you seen the one who forbids

  10. عَبْدًا إِذَا صَلَّىٰٓ96:10

    'Abdan iza sallaa

    A servant when he prays?

  11. أَرَءَيْتَ إِن كَانَ عَلَى ٱلْهُدَىٰٓ96:11

    Ara-aita in kana 'alal hudaa

    Have you seen if he is upon guidance

  12. أَوْ أَمَرَ بِٱلتَّقْوَىٰٓ96:12

    Au amara bit taqwaa

    Or enjoins righteousness?

  13. أَرَءَيْتَ إِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰٓ96:13

    Ara-aita in kaz zaba wa ta walla

    Have you seen if he denies and turns away -

  14. أَلَمْ يَعْلَم بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَرَىٰ96:14

    Alam y'alam bi-an nal lahaa yaraa

    Does he not know that Allah sees?

  15. كَلَّا لَئِن لَّمْ يَنتَهِ لَنَسْفَعًۢا بِٱلنَّاصِيَةِ96:15

    Kalla la illam yantahi la nasfa'am bin nasiyah

    No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock -

  16. نَاصِيَةٍۢ كَـٰذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٍۢ96:16

    Nasiyatin kazi batin khaatiyah

    A lying, sinning forelock.

  17. فَلْيَدْعُ نَادِيَهُۥ96:17

    Fal yad'u naadiyah

    Then let him call his associates;

  18. سَنَدْعُ ٱلزَّبَانِيَةَ96:18

    Sanad 'uz zabaaniyah

    We will call the angels of Hell.

  19. كَلَّا لَا تُطِعْهُ وَٱسْجُدْ وَٱقْتَرِب ۩96:19

    Kalla; la tuti'hu wasjud waqtarib

    No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah].

سُورَةُ القَدْرِ

97. Al-Qadr

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةِ ٱلْقَدْرِ97:1

    Innaa anzalnaahu fee lailatil qadr

    Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree.

  2. وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ97:2

    Wa maa adraaka ma lailatul qadr

    And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree?

  3. لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌۭ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍۢ97:3

    Lailatul qadri khairum min alfee shahr

    The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.

  4. تَنَزَّلُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍۢ97:4

    Tanaz zalul malaa-ikatu war roohu feeha bi izni-rab bihim min kulli amr

    The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter.

  5. سَلَـٰمٌ هِىَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ ٱلْفَجْرِ97:5

    Salaamun hiya hattaa mat la'il fajr

    Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.

سُورَةُ البَيِّنَةِ

98. Al-Bayyinah

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. لَمْ يَكُنِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ وَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ مُنفَكِّينَ حَتَّىٰ تَأْتِيَهُمُ ٱلْبَيِّنَةُ98:1

    Lam ya kunil lazeena kafaru min ahlil kitaabi wal mushri keena mun fak keena hattaa ta-tiya humul bayyinah

    Those who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists were not to be parted [from misbelief] until there came to them clear evidence -

  2. رَسُولٌۭ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ يَتْلُوا۟ صُحُفًۭا مُّطَهَّرَةًۭ98:2

    Rasoolum minal laahi yatlu suhufam mutahharah

    A Messenger from Allah, reciting purified scriptures

  3. فِيهَا كُتُبٌۭ قَيِّمَةٌۭ98:3

    Feeha kutubun qaiyimah

    Within which are correct writings.

  4. وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَتْهُمُ ٱلْبَيِّنَةُ98:4

    Wa maa tafarraqal lazeena ootul kitaaba il-la mim b'adi ma jaa-at humul baiyyinah

    Nor did those who were given the Scripture become divided until after there had come to them clear evidence.

  5. وَمَآ أُمِرُوٓا۟ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ حُنَفَآءَ وَيُقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤْتُوا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ دِينُ ٱلْقَيِّمَةِ98:5

    Wa maa umiroo il-la liy'abu dul laaha mukhliseena lahud-deena huna faa-a wa yuqeemus salaahta wa yu-tuz zakaata; wa zaalika deenul qaiyimah

    And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and to give zakah. And that is the correct religion.

  6. إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ وَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ فِى نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ ۚ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمْ شَرُّ ٱلْبَرِيَّةِ98:6

    Innal lazeena kafaru min ahlil kitaabi wal mushri keena fee nari jahan nama khaali deena feeha; ulaa-ika hum shar rul ba reeyah

    Indeed, they who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. Those are the worst of creatures.

  7. إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمْ خَيْرُ ٱلْبَرِيَّةِ98:7

    Innal lazeena aamanu wa 'amilus saalihaati ula-ika hum khairul bareey yah

    Indeed, they who have believed and done righteous deeds - those are the best of creatures.

  8. جَزَآؤُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّـٰتُ عَدْنٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًۭا ۖ رَّضِىَ ٱللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا۟ عَنْهُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنْ خَشِىَ رَبَّهُۥ98:8

    Jazaa-uhum inda rabbihim jan naatu 'adnin tajree min tahtihal an haaru khalideena feeha abada; radiy-yallaahu 'anhum wa ra du 'an zaalika liman khashiya rabbah.

    Their reward with Allah will be gardens of perpetual residence beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever, Allah being pleased with them and they with Him. That is for whoever has feared his Lord.

سُورَةُ الزَّلْزَلَةِ

99. Az-Zalzalah

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا99:1

    Izaa zul zilatil ardu zil zaalaha

    When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake

  2. وَأَخْرَجَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ أَثْقَالَهَا99:2

    Wa akh rajatil ardu athqaalaha

    And the earth discharges its burdens

  3. وَقَالَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مَا لَهَا99:3

    Wa qaalal insaanu ma laha

    And man says, "What is [wrong] with it?" -

  4. يَوْمَئِذٍۢ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا99:4

    Yawmaa izin tuhad dithu akhbaaraha

    That Day, it will report its news

  5. بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَىٰ لَهَا99:5

    Bi-anna rabbaka awhaa laha

    Because your Lord has commanded it.

  6. يَوْمَئِذٍۢ يَصْدُرُ ٱلنَّاسُ أَشْتَاتًۭا لِّيُرَوْا۟ أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ99:6

    Yawma iziy yas durun naasu ash tatal liyuraw a'maalahum

    That Day, the people will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds.

  7. فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًۭا يَرَهُۥ99:7

    Famaiy ya'mal mithqala zarratin khai raiy-yarah

    So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it,

  8. وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍۢ شَرًّۭا يَرَهُۥ99:8

    Wa maiy-y'amal mithqala zarratin sharraiy-yarah

    And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it.

سُورَةُ العَادِيَاتِ

100. Al-'Adiyat

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. وَٱلْعَـٰدِيَـٰتِ ضَبْحًۭا100:1

    Wal'aadi yaati dabha

    By the racers, panting,

  2. فَٱلْمُورِيَـٰتِ قَدْحًۭا100:2

    Fal moori yaati qadha

    And the producers of sparks [when] striking

  3. فَٱلْمُغِيرَٰتِ صُبْحًۭا100:3

    Fal mugheeraati subha

    And the chargers at dawn,

  4. فَأَثَرْنَ بِهِۦ نَقْعًۭا100:4

    Fa atharna bihee naq'a

    Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust,

  5. فَوَسَطْنَ بِهِۦ جَمْعًا100:5

    Fawa satna bihee jam'a

    Arriving thereby in the center collectively,

  6. إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لِرَبِّهِۦ لَكَنُودٌۭ100:6

    Innal-insana lirabbihee lakanood

    Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful.

  7. وَإِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدٌۭ100:7

    Wa innahu 'alaa zaalika la shaheed

    And indeed, he is to that a witness.

  8. وَإِنَّهُۥ لِحُبِّ ٱلْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيدٌ100:8

    Wa innahu lihubbil khairi la shadeed

    And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense.

  9. ۞ أَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ إِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِى ٱلْقُبُورِ100:9

    Afala ya'lamu iza b'uthira ma filquboor

    But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered

  10. وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِى ٱلصُّدُورِ100:10

    Wa hussila maa fis sudoor

    And that within the breasts is obtained,

  11. إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لَّخَبِيرٌۢ100:11

    Inna rabbahum bihim yauma 'izil la khabeer

    Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted.

سُورَةُ القَارِعَةِ

101. Al-Qari'ah

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. ٱلْقَارِعَةُ101:1

    Al qaari'ah

    The Striking Calamity -

  2. مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ101:2

    Mal qaariah

    What is the Striking Calamity?

  3. وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ101:3

    Wa maa adraaka mal qaari'ah

    And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity?

  4. يَوْمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلْفَرَاشِ ٱلْمَبْثُوثِ101:4

    Yauma ya koonun naasu kal farashil mabthooth

    It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed,

  5. وَتَكُونُ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَٱلْعِهْنِ ٱلْمَنفُوشِ101:5

    Wa ta koonul jibalu kal 'ihnil manfoosh

    And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up.

  6. فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ101:6

    Fa-amma man thaqulat mawa zeenuh

    Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds],

  7. فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍۢ رَّاضِيَةٍۢ101:7

    Fahuwa fee 'ishatir raadiyah

    He will be in a pleasant life.

  8. وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ101:8

    Wa amma man khaffat mawa zeenuh

    But as for one whose scales are light,

  9. فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٌۭ101:9

    Fa-ummuhu haawiyah

    His refuge will be an abyss.

  10. وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهْ101:10

    Wa maa adraaka maa hiyah

    And what can make you know what that is?

  11. نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌۢ101:11

    Naarun hamiyah

    It is a Fire, intensely hot.

سُورَةُ التَّكَاثُرِ

102. At-Takathur

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. أَلْهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ102:1

    Al haaku mut takathur

    Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you

  2. حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ ٱلْمَقَابِرَ102:2

    Hatta zurtumul-maqaabir

    Until you visit the graveyards.

  3. كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ102:3

    Kalla sawfa ta'lamoon

    No! You are going to know.

  4. ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ102:4

    Thumma kalla sawfa ta'lamoon

    Then no! You are going to know.

  5. كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ ٱلْيَقِينِ102:5

    Kalla law ta'lamoona 'ilmal yaqeen

    No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty...

  6. لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ102:6

    Latara-wun nal jaheem

    You will surely see the Hellfire.

  7. ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ ٱلْيَقِينِ102:7

    Thumma latara wunnaha 'ainal yaqeen

    Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty.

  8. ثُمَّ لَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ102:8

    Thumma latus alunna yauma-izin 'anin na'eem

    Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure.

سُورَةُ العَصْرِ

103. Al-'Asr

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. وَٱلْعَصْرِ103:1

    Wal' asr

    By time,

  2. إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لَفِى خُسْرٍ103:2

    Innal insaana lafee khusr

    Indeed, mankind is in loss,

  3. إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ103:3

    Il lal lazeena aamanu wa 'amilus saali haati wa tawa saw bil haqqi wa tawa saw bis sabr

    Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.

سُورَةُ الهُمَزَةِ

104. Al-Humazah

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. وَيْلٌۭ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍۢ لُّمَزَةٍ104:1

    Wai lul-li kulli hu mazatil-lumaza

    Woe to every scorner and mocker

  2. ٱلَّذِى جَمَعَ مَالًۭا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ104:2

    Al-lazi jama'a maalaw wa'addadah

    Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it.

  3. يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخْلَدَهُۥ104:3

    Yahsabu anna maalahu akhladah

    He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal.

  4. كَلَّا ۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِى ٱلْحُطَمَةِ104:4

    Kalla layum ba zanna fil hutamah

    No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher.

  5. وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْحُطَمَةُ104:5

    Wa maa adraaka mal-hutamah

    And what can make you know what is the Crusher?

  6. نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُوقَدَةُ104:6

    Narul laahil-mooqada

    It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled,

  7. ٱلَّتِى تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةِ104:7

    Al latee tat tali'u 'alalafidah

    Which mounts directed at the hearts.

  8. إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِم مُّؤْصَدَةٌۭ104:8

    Innaha 'alaihim moosada

    Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them

  9. فِى عَمَدٍۢ مُّمَدَّدَةٍۭ104:9

    Fee 'amadim-mu mad dadah

    In extended columns.

سُورَةُ الفِيلِ

105. Al-Fil

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَـٰبِ ٱلْفِيلِ105:1

    Alam tara kaifa fa'ala rabbuka bi ashaabil feel

    Have you not considered, [O Muhammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant?

  2. أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِى تَضْلِيلٍۢ105:2

    Alam yaj'al kai dahum fee tad leel

    Did He not make their plan into misguidance?

  3. وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ105:3

    Wa arsala 'alaihim tairan abaabeel

    And He sent against them birds in flocks,

  4. تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍۢ مِّن سِجِّيلٍۢ105:4

    Tar meehim bi hi jaaratim min sij jeel

    Striking them with stones of hard clay,

  5. فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍۢ مَّأْكُولٍۭ105:5

    Faja 'alahum ka'asfim m'akool

    And He made them like eaten straw.

سُورَةُ قُرَيْشٍ

106. Quraysh

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. لِإِيلَـٰفِ قُرَيْشٍ106:1

    Li-ilaafi quraish

    For the accustomed security of the Quraysh -

  2. إِۦلَـٰفِهِمْ رِحْلَةَ ٱلشِّتَآءِ وَٱلصَّيْفِ106:2

    Elaafihim rihlatash shitaa-i wass saif

    Their accustomed security [in] the caravan of winter and summer -

  3. فَلْيَعْبُدُوا۟ رَبَّ هَـٰذَا ٱلْبَيْتِ106:3

    Fal y'abudu rabba haazal-bait

    Let them worship the Lord of this House,

  4. ٱلَّذِىٓ أَطْعَمَهُم مِّن جُوعٍۢ وَءَامَنَهُم مِّنْ خَوْفٍۭ106:4

    Allazi at'amahum min ju'inw-wa-aamana hum min khawf

    Who has fed them, [saving them] from hunger and made them safe, [saving them] from fear.

سُورَةُ المَاعُونِ

107. Al-Ma'un

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِ107:1

    Ara-aital lazee yu kazzibu bid deen

    Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense?

  2. فَذَٰلِكَ ٱلَّذِى يَدُعُّ ٱلْيَتِيمَ107:2

    Fa zaalikal lazi yadu'ul-yateem

    For that is the one who drives away the orphan

  3. وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ107:3

    Wa la ya huddu 'alaa ta'amil miskeen

    And does not encourage the feeding of the poor.

  4. فَوَيْلٌۭ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَ107:4

    Fa wai lul-lil mu salleen

    So woe to those who pray

  5. ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ107:5

    Al lazeena hum 'an salaatihim sahoon

    [But] who are heedless of their prayer -

  6. ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَآءُونَ107:6

    Al lazeena hum yuraa-oon

    Those who make show [of their deeds]

  7. وَيَمْنَعُونَ ٱلْمَاعُونَ107:7

    Wa yamna'oonal ma'oon

    And withhold [simple] assistance.

سُورَةُ الكَوْثَرِ

108. Al-Kawthar

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. إِنَّآ أَعْطَيْنَـٰكَ ٱلْكَوْثَرَ108:1

    Innaa a'taina kal kauthar

    Indeed, We have granted you, [O Muhammad], al-Kawthar.

  2. فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَٱنْحَرْ108:2

    Fa salli li rabbika wanhar

    So pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone].

  3. إِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ ٱلْأَبْتَرُ108:3

    Inna shani-aka huwal abtar

    Indeed, your enemy is the one cut off.

سُورَةُ الكَافِرُونَ

109. Al-Kafirun

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. قُلْ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ109:1

    Qul yaa-ai yuhal kaafiroon

    Say, "O disbelievers,

  2. لَآ أَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ109:2

    Laa a'budu ma t'abudoon

    I do not worship what you worship.

  3. وَلَآ أَنتُمْ عَـٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعْبُدُ109:3

    Wa laa antum 'aabidoona maa a'bud

    Nor are you worshippers of what I worship.

  4. وَلَآ أَنَا۠ عَابِدٌۭ مَّا عَبَدتُّمْ109:4

    Wa laa ana 'abidum maa 'abattum

    Nor will I be a worshipper of what you worship.

  5. وَلَآ أَنتُمْ عَـٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعْبُدُ109:5

    Wa laa antum 'aabidoona ma a'bud

    Nor will you be worshippers of what I worship.

  6. لَكُمْ دِينُكُمْ وَلِىَ دِينِ109:6

    Lakum deenukum wa liya deen.

    For you is your religion, and for me is my religion."

سُورَةُ النَّصْرِ

110. An-Nasr

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. إِذَا جَآءَ نَصْرُ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلْفَتْحُ110:1

    Iza jaa-a nas rullahi walfath

    When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest,

  2. وَرَأَيْتَ ٱلنَّاسَ يَدْخُلُونَ فِى دِينِ ٱللَّهِ أَفْوَاجًۭا110:2

    Wa ra-aitan naasa yadkhuloona fee deenil laahi afwajah

    And you see the people entering into the religion of Allah in multitudes,

  3. فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَٱسْتَغْفِرْهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ تَوَّابًۢا110:3

    Fa sab bih bihamdi rabbika was taghfir, innahu kaana tawwaaba

    Then exalt [Him] with praise of your Lord and ask forgiveness of Him. Indeed, He is ever Accepting of repentance.

سُورَةُ المَسَدِ

111. Al-Masad

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍۢ وَتَبَّ111:1

    Tab bat yadaa abee Lahabinw-wa tabb

    May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he.

  2. مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ111:2

    Maa aghna 'anhu maaluhu wa ma kasab

    His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained.

  3. سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًۭا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍۢ111:3

    Sa yas laa naran zaata lahab

    He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame

  4. وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ111:4

    Wam ra-atuh hamma latal-hatab

    And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood.

  5. فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌۭ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ111:5

    Fee jeediha hab lum mim-masad

    Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber.

سُورَةُ الإِخْلاَصِ

112. Al-Ikhlas

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. قُلْ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ112:1

    Qul huwal laahu ahad

    Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One,

  2. ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ112:2

    Allah hus-samad

    Allah, the Eternal Refuge.

  3. لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ112:3

    Lam yalid wa lam yoolad

    He neither begets nor is born,

  4. وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌۢ112:4

    Wa lam yakul-lahu kufuwan ahad

    Nor is there to Him any equivalent."

سُورَةُ الفَلَقِ

113. Al-Falaq

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلْفَلَقِ113:1

    Qul a'uzoo bi rabbil-falaq

    Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak

  2. مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ113:2

    Min sharri ma khalaq

    From the evil of that which He created

  3. وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ113:3

    Wa min sharri ghasiqin iza waqab

    And from the evil of darkness when it settles

  4. وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّـٰثَـٰتِ فِى ٱلْعُقَدِ113:4

    Wa min sharrin-naffaa-thaati fil 'uqad

    And from the evil of the blowers in knots

  5. وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ113:5

    Wa min shar ri haasidin iza hasad

    And from the evil of an envier when he envies."

سُورَةُ النَّاسِ

114. An-Nas

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلنَّاسِ114:1

    Qul a'uzu birabbin naas

    Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind,

  2. مَلِكِ ٱلنَّاسِ114:2

    Malikin naas

    The Sovereign of mankind.

  3. إِلَـٰهِ ٱلنَّاسِ114:3

    Ilaahin naas

    The God of mankind,

  4. مِن شَرِّ ٱلْوَسْوَاسِ ٱلْخَنَّاسِ114:4

    Min sharril was waasil khannaas

    From the evil of the retreating whisperer -

  5. ٱلَّذِى يُوَسْوِسُ فِى صُدُورِ ٱلنَّاسِ114:5

    Al lazee yuwas wisu fee sudoorin naas

    Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind -

  6. مِنَ ٱلْجِنَّةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ114:6

    Minal jinnati wan naas

    From among the jinn and mankind."
